Ongoing Care

When your initial goals have been reached, we review where you are and decide what makes sense next.

There’s no automatic continuation of care. You always have options — and the choice is yours.

1. Finish Care & Continue Independently

If your symptoms have settled and you feel confident managing things on your own, your treatment can end at this stage.

 

Many people are perfectly happy to continue with the exercises, strategies, or insights they’ve gained and simply return if needed in the future.

You’re always welcome to return in the future if needed.

Note: If six months have passed since your last appointment, or you have a new or different concern, a reassessment appointment ensures we properly review your current situation so care remains safe and appropriate.

2. Follow-Up Check-In

Some people prefer a short check-in a few weeks after finishing their plan.

This might be:

  • A brief follow-up / review appointment

  • An agreed phone call

  • Email contact

It’s simply a way to make sure progress has been maintained and address any small concerns early.

Not everyone needs this — but it’s available if it gives you reassurance.

3. Supportive (Maintenance) Care

Some individuals choose ongoing supportive care to help them stay active and manage recurring strain.

 

This may involve:

  • Periodic appointments spaced weeks apart

  • Monitoring movement, tension, or behavioural patterns

  • Early management of flare-ups

  • Reviewing exercises or coping strategies

  • Hands-on treatment (for physical therapies) when appropriate

 

Supportive care can suit:

  • People with recurring or long-standing issues

  • Physically active individuals or manual workers

  • Desk-based professionals managing postural strain

  • Those who simply find occasional care helps them stay comfortable and proactive

 

Supportive care is always optional and reviewed regularly.

 

There is no expectation to continue beyond what feels useful or beneficial to you.
