What Is Chiropractic

Chiropractic is a regulated healthcare profession focused on the assessment, diagnosis, and management of musculoskeletal conditions — particularly those involving the spine, joints, muscles, and nervous system.

Chiropractors are trained to understand how the body moves and functions, and how mechanical strain, injury, posture, stress, or lifestyle factors may contribute to pain, stiffness, or reduced performance.

The aim of chiropractic care is to:

  • Reduce discomfort

  • Restore and improve movement

  • Support recovery from injury

  • Improve physical resilience

  • Help you better understand and manage your condition

Chiropractors are primary healthcare practitioners, meaning you do not need a GP referral to book an appointment.

Care is always tailored to the individual. Following a detailed assessment and diagnosis, a personalised management plan will be discussed with you. This may involve hands-on care, rehabilitation strategies, and practical guidance to support long-term improvement.

If necessary, referral for imaging or medical input will be recommended.
