Frequently Asked Questions
I’m not sure which therapy I need — what should I book?
That’s very common.
If your primary concern is physical pain, injury, or stiffness, book a Chiropractic - Initial Consultation session.
If your focus is muscular tension, recovery, or soft tissue work, book a Sports Massage Initial Consultation session.
If your main concern relates to stress, anxiety, habits, or psychological blocks, book a Hypnotherapy + CBT Initial Consultation session.
If you're unsure, choose the option that feels closest to your main issue. Your first session always includes time to properly assess your situation and, if another approach would be more appropriate, this will be discussed openly.
You won’t be “stuck” with the wrong choice.
Can Treatments be combined?
Yes — when clinically appropriate.
Because the clinic offers chiropractic care, massage therapy, and cognitive / behavioural approaches, treatment can be integrated across sessions.
For example, persistent pain may benefit from both physical treatment and addressing stress-related drivers. This is always discussed collaboratively and never assumed.
Will I receive treatment at my first appointment?
In most cases, yes.
Initial appointments include assessment and, where appropriate and safe, treatment on the same day. If further information or referral is needed before proceeding, this will be explained clearly.
Will I be asked to commit to multiple sessions?
No.
There are no contracts or mandatory treatment plans.
Some conditions resolve quickly; others require a short course of care. Any recommendations are based on your presentation and goals, and progress is reviewed regularly.
You decide how you wish to proceed.
What if I only want a single appointment?
That’s absolutely fine.
Some people attend for a one-off session; others choose ongoing care. There is no obligation either way.
Is the clinic private?
Yes.
You will be seen one-to-one in a dedicated treatment room. Appointments are spaced to maintain privacy and allow sufficient time for your care.
What if I’ve already tried other treatments and they didn’t work?
That’s not uncommon.
Sometimes pain persists because multiple factors are involved — mechanical, neurological, behavioural, or stress-related. An integrated approach allows us to assess these different layers rather than focusing on only one.
If it’s appropriate to refer you elsewhere, that will always be discussed honestly.
Will you communicate with my GP or other healthcare providers?
Yes, with your consent.
Collaboration can often improve outcomes, particularly for more complex or persistent conditions.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends entirely on:
-
The nature of your issue
-
How long it has been present
-
Your goals
-
How your body responds
After your first appointment, you’ll have a clearer understanding of what is realistic. There is no standardised plan applied to everyone.
What if I’m unsure whether this is right for me?
It’s normal to feel unsure when trying somewhere new.
The purpose of the first appointment is clarity — understanding what’s going on and what your options are. There is no obligation beyond that.
